BETA Shared Music Extension Review
BETA Shared Music is a Chrome extension designed to enhance Google Meet by allowing participants to listen to the same music in real-time during video calls. Users can share music from YouTube, mp3 links, or directly from their local disk. One notable premium feature enables sharing audio streams from any tab or application like Spotify or Discord.
After installing the extension, a new button appears in the Google Meet button bar. By clicking on it, a sidebar opens with a "shared music" section where users can input a YouTube URL, mp3 link, or upload an audio file from their PC. The music plays simultaneously for all participants, who can adjust volume and pause the music. The "status" tab displays connected users, ensuring everyone hears the music.
